Andrew W. Sandberg is the Local Chairman of IAM Local 754 which represents Machinist's on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). As a Machinist on the Long Island Rail Road, Andrew is responsible for inspecting locomotives under CFR 49 238 and CFR 49 229, which includes running repairs and overhauls of components and sub-components of diesel locomotives. Andrew will soon become a General Chairman for IAM District Lodge 19 which will expand his area of responsibility to railroads nationwide.
