Letters to President Obama

From

James "Beau" Jencks, Ceresco, Michigan

March 7, 2014

I would like to thank President Obama. After almost 2 years of unemployment, and little to no chance of being employed, I filled out an application for the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP). After being one of the first accepted in the program, immediately began classes at Kellogg Community college. All of this is can pretty much be the same for all that were accepted nation wide. Here is where my personal story is vastly different. 1. I will be graduating May 15, 2014, almost 3/4 of a year ahead of schedule with my A.A.S. Business Management major, and a Human Resources minor. 2. right now I have a 3.9 GPA. 3. I was just selected for Outstanding student in the Business Program. 4. AND HAVE RECIEVED THE HIGHEST HONOR OF BE VALEDICTORIAN. All this, and being 55 years old!!! Now I hope my my next accomplishment is a job. Thank-you Mr. Obama for giving me an opportunity to contribute once again in this great countries prosperity.
