Letters to President Obama

From

Ronald Mondary, Moores Hill, Indiana

April 3, 2009

President Obama,

I see that you admire Abraham Lincoln. I thought you might enjoy this little book that I have had for years.

You are starting one big tough job but if you keep your feet on the ground and be patient, it’ll work out. You may have to bite your tongue and count to ten a lot but it will be worth it if you can straighten this mess out.

I am disabled and my friend Rose Cantrell is retired and living on less than $700 per month. (Soc. Sec. and retirement together) we moved into our house together because we could not make it alone. We own our little house together with the U.S.D.A. Our kitchen floor is cracked and sagging but is home.

We don’t have anything left at the end of the month but our minds (mostly). If you need help telling the Senate and Congress what is it like down here at the bottom of the pile, I would be glad to help.

Sincerely,

Ronald Mondary
