NEXT WEEK: Director of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers to Visit Michigan
WASHINGTON – On Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8, 2009, Dr. Ed Montgomery, President Obama’s Director of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers, will travel to Grand Rapids, Flint, and Warren, Michigan to discuss the President’s commitment to supporting and revitalizing auto industry workers and communities.
Dr. Montgomery will travel with representatives from key government agencies to meet with workers, local officials, and community leaders in some of the areas hardest hit during these difficult times for our auto industry.  The group will discuss ways to ensure that the full resources of the federal government are getting to the workers, the families, and communities that need it the most.
On Thursday, Dr. Montgomery’s team will visit Grand Rapids, and on Friday, the team will visit Flint and Warren.  More details about Dr. Montgomery’s trip will be announced as soon as they become available.
