Statement by the Press Secretary on the Visit of President Leonel Fernandez of the Dominican Republic

On Monday, July 12, President Obama will host Leonel Fernandez, President of the Dominican Republic, at the White House for a working meeting.  The United States enjoys a long and close relationship with the Dominican Republic and Dominicans have made important contributions to the United States and to the Americas.  The President looks forward to discussing a wide range of bilateral and hemispheric issues with President Fernandez as part of his on-going engagement with leaders from throughout the Americas on the most important issues facing people throughout the region.
