Electronic Health Records Use

A Oregon Community Health Information Network, one of the nation’s cutting edge health information technology and service organizations, will use a Recovery Act grant through HHS to improve electronic health record use by medical providers. In Oregon, over 65% of providers already use an electronic health record system, so their plan will focus on advance tools and utilization of electronic health records. This innovative project will reduce medical costs in Oregon and provide a model that could potentially cut medical costs across the country.
