Health Care Reform

In March 2010, Congress passed and the President signed into law the Affordable Care Act, which puts in place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will hold insurance companies more accountable, lower health care costs, guarantee more health care choices, and enhance the quality of health care for all Americans.

Middle Class Tax Package

Middle-class families have been hardest hit, not only by this recession but throughout the last decade, and they deserve relief. The President’s tax package provides vital tax relief and investments in our workers that will create jobs for middle-class families and accelerate economic growth throughout the country.

Transportation

President Obama and Vice President Biden believe that America's long-term competitiveness depends on the stability of our critical infrastructure, and that state and local officials play a critical role in bolstering our nation’s transportation infrastructure. Strengthening our transportation systems, including our roads and bridges, is a top priority, and we will continue to engage elected officials who know these systems as well as anyone.
