Embodying Confidence

Summary:
"Women Working to Do Good" highlights Amber Krzys, an inspiring woman who started an organization empowering women and men to love their bodies.

For those of you that have met me, you’ll know that I’m a man of modest proportions. I wasn’t exactly the kid you picked to play on your basketball team and tall, dark and handsome are hardly words used to describe me. While it hasn’t kept me from enjoying most of what life has to offer, it has not always been easy fitting in in a world where bigger is better. However, with the recent anniversary of the First Lady’s successful Let’s Move! program, feeling good about what makes you unique has never been easier.  Maintaining a positive body image and good health are important things for each of us to embrace. And fortunately, there are some fantastic young women leading the charge.

In another inspiring “Women Working to Do Good”, HelloGiggles details Amber Krzys, an accomplished dancer and actress leading a movement which encourages people to love the body they are born with. After meeting with Amber, the author writes,

Without her passion, the campaign wouldn't be the effective force it is today… Amber stresses in many of her video blogs that it's important to know that you are enough...that your body doesn't need to be the main focus of your life. But, once you accept your body, you can be comfortable enough to be a leader, be intimate in relationships, and love yourself so that you can be confident operating throughout everyday activities.

Amber has empowered both men and women to stay confident and love their body no matter what mold they fit into, especially if that mold comes in modest proportions.
