This week, the President visited Nike Headquarters, joined a panel discussion on combatting poverty with economists, welcomed the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to the White House, and congratulated the graduates of one of the top community colleges in the nation, where he crossed a certain geographical threshold only three other Presidents have done. That’s May 8th to May 14th or, “The 50th State!”

  • The President visited Nike headquarters in Portland, Oregon to discuss his Trans-Pacific Partnership Trade deal.
  • The President sat down for an interview with Yahoo! News.
  • The President traveled to Watertown, South Dakota to speak at Lake Area Technical Institute’s commencement for the class of 2015.

Monday

  • The President welcomed young business leaders into the Oval Office and spoke to entrepreneurs from all over the world.

Tuesday

  • The President joined Arthur Brooks and Robert Putnam on a panel at the Catholic-Evangelical Leadership Summit on Overcoming Poverty at Georgetown University, moderated by E.J. Dionne.

Wednesday

  • The President hosted Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohamed bin Nayef in the Oval Office for a bilateral meeting.
  • The President welcomed delegations from Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait for the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Thursday

  • The President met with the leaders on the Gulf Cooperation Council at Camp David.
