The Schedule
In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
Later in the morning, the President will welcome President Joachim Gauck of Germany to the White House for a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office. The Vice President will also attend. President Gauck’s visit will mark the 25th anniversary of German reunification and underscore the abiding friendship and partnership between the United States and Germany. There will be a pool spray at the top of the meeting.
In the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks at the White House Summit on Worker Voice. The summit will bring together workers, union leaders, worker advocates, and businesses to explore ways to ensure that working Americans are fully sharing in the benefits of the broad-based economic growth that they are helping to create. The President’s remarks in the East Room are open press.
Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of State Kerry in the Oval Office; the Vice President will also attend. This meeting is closed press.
Afterwards, the President will participate in a conversation co-hosted by Coworker.org with workers, employers, unions, organizers and other advocates and experts on how we can energize a new generation of Americans to come together and recognize the potential power of their voice at work. This closing dialogue will include questions and stories from both participants in the room, and workers and organizers from around the country, via the Coworker.org platform. The Schedule
In the morning, the President will address the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The First Lady will also attend. This event is open to pre-credentialed media.
Afterward, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. There will be a travel pool spray at the bottom of this meeting.
In the afternoon, the President will attend a luncheon hosted by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. There will be a travel pool spray at the top of the luncheon.
