The Schedule

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will welcome President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia to the White House. President Sirleaf’s visit comes at a time of critical cooperation between the United States and Liberia. The President looks forward to building on a strong and historic partnership with Liberia and discussing a range of topics with President Sirleaf, including the ongoing Ebola response, the region’s economic recovery plans, and other issues of mutual interest. There will be a pool spray at the top of this meeting in the Oval Office.

In the afternoon, the President will have lunch with My Brother’s Keeper mentees. There will be a stills only pool spray of this lunch in the Map Room.

Later in the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks at the portrait unveiling ceremony for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. The event will mark the Attorney General’s anticipated departure from the department after more than six years of service. There will be travel pool coverage of the President’s remarks at the U.S. Department of Justice.

Following this meeting, the President will sit down with African American faith and civil rights leaders in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will participate in the latest installment of “Live from the White House” by conducting a round of interviews with local television anchors from Fargo, Kansas City, Portland and Seattle to discuss the importance of exports and trade to American jobs. While in Washington, the local anchors will spend the day with behind-the-scenes access to the White House and the President’s top advisers. These interviews are embargoed until 5:00PM EST. The interviews will take place in the Roosevelt Room.

Later in the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will host a reception celebrating African American History Month in the East Room. There will be pool coverage of this reception.

Later in the morning, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with the Amir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, in the Oval Office. The President looks forward to discussing with Sheikh Tamim political, economic, and security issues of mutual concern to our two countries. The United States and Qatar have a long-standing partnership, and this meeting is an opportunity to further that relationship along with our shared interest in supporting stability and prosperity in the Middle East. The Vice President will also attend. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of this meeting.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with rank-and-file law enforcement officials from across the country to thank them for their service to our communities and to discuss how communities and law enforcement can work together to build trust to ensure public safety and strengthen neighborhoods. The Schedule

In the morning, the President will travel to Palo Alto, California to deliver remarks at the Summit on Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection at Stanford University to help shape public and private sector efforts to protect American consumers and companies from growing threats to consumers and commercial networks. The Summit will bring together major stakeholders on consumer financial protection issues to discuss how all members of our financial system can work together to further protect American consumers and their financial data, now and in the future. The President’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.

In the afternoon, the President will host a roundtable with business leaders. There will be a travel pool spray at the top of this meeting.

Later in the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks at a DNC event. There will be print pool coverage for remarks only.

The President will spend the night in San Francisco, California.
