I’m interested! How do I register?

Registration opens at WhiteHouse.gov/holiday-social at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, November 23 and closes on Wednesday, December 30 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Please note: Invitations are non-transferable and we can not accommodate guests.

What’s a White House Social all about?

White House social events are in-person meetings with people who engage with the White House through social media.

Past White House Social events have included an InstaMeet, State of the Union Social, a Republic of Korea Arrival Ceremony Tweetup, a Holiday Open House, a United Kingdom Arrival Ceremony Tweetup, a Google+ Photowalk, and many others.

Do I need to have a social media account to register?

Yes, this event is designed for people who regularly interact with the White House via Instagram. Registration is open to those who are active users on Instagram and who follow official White House accounts.

What are the registration requirements?

Registration indicates your intent to travel to the White House in Washington, D.C. on Monday, December 12 to attend the White House Social in person. You will bear any costs associated with travel and lodging. All guests will be required to present a valid, government-issued photo identification (detailed here).

What if I cannot come to Washington, D.C.?

If you cannot come to the White House in Washington, D.C. to attend in person, you should not register for this event. You can follow updates from the event on the #WHHolidays hashtag. Check back on WhiteHouse.gov/holiday-social and follow @WhiteHouse on Twitter and @WhiteHouse on Instagram for updates on upcoming engagement opportunities.

When will I know if I am selected?

The White House will contact applicants via email with additional instructions for those that have been invited or added to the wait-list. If you have been selected, you will be notified no later than Monday, December 5th.
