What's Happening

In the morning, the President will deliver remarks at the Symposium on Global Agriculture and Food Security at the Ronald Reagan Building. The President’s remarks are open press.

Later in the morning, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with President Francois Hollande of France in advance of the G-8 and NATO Summits to discuss our cooperation on a range of key topics, to include the global economy and Afghanistan. There will be a pool spray with statements at the bottom of the meeting in the Oval Office.  

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Camp David for the G8 Summit. The departure from the South Lawn is open press and the arrival at Camp David is closed press.

While at Camp David, the President will greet G8 leaders. The greetings are pooled press.

In the evening, the President will host a welcome reception for G8 leaders.  The welcome reception is closed press.

Later in the evening, the President will host a working dinner for G8 leaders. The dinner is closed press.

The President will remain overnight at Camp David.

In the morning, the President will visit a small business in the Washington, DC area where he will urge Congress to act on the “To Do List,” specifically highlighting the need to invest in small businesses and jumpstart new hiring by passing legislation that gives a 10 percent income tax credit to firms that create new jobs or increase wages in 2012 and that extends 100 percent expensing in 2012 for all businesses. The President will hold a roundtable discussion with small business owners who will benefit from these proposals as well as Small Business Administrator Karen Mills. There will be a pool spray with a statement at the bottom of the discussion.

Later, the President will meet for lunch with Congressional Leadership in the Private Dining Room where he will stress the importance of acting on Congress’ “To Do List.” This lunch will include House Speaker John Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. In the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of State Clinton in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press. 

Later in the afternoon, the President will award Specialist Leslie H. Sabo, Jr., U.S. Army, the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry. Specialist Sabo will receive the Medal of Honor posthumously for his heroic actions in combat on May 10, 1970, while serving as a rifleman in Company B, 3d Battalion, 506th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division in Se San, Cambodia. The First Lady will also attend. The President’s remarks in the East Room are open press.

In the morning, the President will depart from Los Angeles, California, en route Reno, Nevada. The departure from Los Angeles International Airport and arrival at Reno-Tahoe International Airport are open press.

In Reno, the President will meet with a local family at a private residence. There will be a pool spray of this meeting.

Following the meeting, the President will deliver remarks that will highlight the next initiative on the “To Do List” which calls on Congress to cut the red tape so that responsible homeowners across the country who have been paying their mortgage on time can feel secure in their home and refinance at today’s lower rates. These remarks at a private residence in Reno are pooled for television and open to pre-credentialed stills and correspondents. 

In the afternoon, the President will depart Reno, Nevada, en route Washington, DC. The departure from Reno-Tahoe International Airport and arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

In the morning, the President will depart from the White House en route Seattle, Washington. The departure from the South Lawn and arrival at King County International Airport are open press.

In Seattle, the President will deliver remarks at two campaign events. The first campaign event is print pool for remarks only and the second is pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed still photographers and correspondents.

In the afternoon, the President will depart from Seattle, Washington en route Los Angeles, California. The departure from King County International Airport and arrival at Los Angeles International Airport are open press.
