What's Happening

In the morning, the President will depart from the White House en route San Francisco, California.  The departure from the South Lawn and arrival at San Francisco International Airport are open press.  

In San Francisco, the President will attend two campaign events.  The first event at the Landmark Tower is closed press, and the second event at the Julia Morgan Ballroom is print pool for remarks only.

In the afternoon, the President will depart from San Francisco, en route Los Angeles.  The departure from San Francisco International Airport and arrival at Los Angeles International Airport are open press. 

In Los Angeles, the President will attend two campaign events.  The first event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel is pooled for television and open to still photographers and correspondents.  The second event at a private residence is print pool for remarks only. 

The President will spend the night in Los Angeles.

In the morning, the Vice President will travel to Winston-Salem, North Carolina. At 11:45 AM, the Vice President will deliver remarks on the Administration’s efforts to create jobs in the United States and restore middle class economic security. The Vice President will discuss the steps the Administration is taking to bring manufacturing jobs back to America and call on Congress to act on the President’s “To Do List” to create jobs. This event is open press.

Later, the Vice President will return to Washington, DC.

In the morning, the President will depart from the White House en route Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The departure from the South Lawn and arrival at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport are open press. 

In Minneapolis, the President will tour the Honeywell Golden Valley facility and then deliver remarks urging Congress to act on the “To Do List”, specifically highlighting the need to honor our commitment to returning veterans by passing legislation that creates a Veterans Jobs Corps to help Afghanistan and Iraq veterans get jobs as cops and firefighters, as well as other jobs serving their communities.  The tour is pooled press and the President’s remarks at the Honeywell Golden Valley facility are open press. 

Later, the President will attend campaign events at the Bachelor Restaurant in Minneapolis.  He will deliver remarks at the first campaign event and then attend two campaign events. There will be print pool coverage for remarks only at the first event and the second and third events are closed press. 

In the afternoon, the President will depart Minneapolis en route Chicago, Illinois.  The departure from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and arrival at O’Hare International Airport are open press. 

In Chicago, the President will deliver remarks at a campaign event at the Chicago Cultural Center before delivering remarks at two campaign events at private residences in Chicago.  There will be pool coverage of the President’s remarks at the Chicago Cultural Center and print pool coverage for remarks only at the two private residences. 

The President will spend the night in Chicago.

In the morning, the President will attend an annual hurricane preparedness briefing in the Situation Room.  This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will sign the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank at the White House. As the President has said, this important step will help American businesses create jobs here at home and sell their products around the world – all at no cost to taxpayers. Last year marked the highest level of financing in the Bank’s 77-year history, as they supported thousands of U.S. companies.  Over the last several months, the President met with business leaders in Washington, visited workers at companies like Boeing, and urged Congress to reauthorize the Bank to keep building on this progress. This event in the South Court Auditorium is open press.

In the evening, the President will host a Jewish American Heritage Month reception in the East Room.  There will be pooled press coverage of the President’s remarks.

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
