In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will travel to Albany, New York. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Albany International Airport are open press.

While in Albany, the President will travel to the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering’s (CNSE) Albany NanoTech Complex at the State University of New York for an event on the economy.  CNSE’s Albany NanoTech Complex is a fully-integrated research, development, prototyping, and educational facility that provides strategic support through outreach, technology acceleration, business incubation, pilot prototyping, and test-based integration support for onsite corporate partners, including IBM, Intel, GlobalFoundries, Applied Materials, as well as other next generation nanotechnology research activities. Governor Cuomo will accompany the President on a tour of the facility prior to the President’s remarks. There will be travel pool coverage of the tour and the President’s remarks are open press.

In the afternoon, the President will return to Washington, DC. The departure from Albany International Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

Later in the morning, the President will travel to Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia, to speak with juniors and graduating seniors and their parents about the need to prevent interest rates on federal subsidized student loans from doubling on July 1.  While at the school, the President will hold a roundtable discussion with a group of seniors and their parents before delivering remarks to members of the junior and senior classes and many of their parents about the importance of their having a fair shot at an affordable higher education and the skills they need to find a good job. The President’s remarks at Washington-Lee High School are open to pre-credentialed members of the media, but the deadline to RSVP has passed.  The roundtable discussion with students and parents will have pooled press coverage.

In the afternoon, the President will welcome the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team to the White House to celebrate their 2012 NCAA championship.  The President’s remarks in the Rose Garden are open press.

The President looks forward to holding discussions with the Prime Minister on a wide range of bilateral, regional and global issues, including the U.S.-Japan Security Alliance, economic and trade issues, and deepening bilateral cooperation.  The two leaders will also discuss regional and global security concerns. There will be a pool spray at the top of the bilateral meeting in the Oval Office.
