West Wing Week: 04/17/15 or, "The Quintessential Sounds"
This week, the President wrapped up a trip to Panama, held a historic meeting with President Raul Castro of Cuba, grooved with Gospel artists, held a town hall about working families, and kicked off a Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride. That's April 10th to April 16th or, "The Quintessential Sounds."
Friday, April 10th
- On Friday, the President participated in the 7th Summit of the Americas in Panama.
Saturday, April 11th
- The President held a series of meetings, including a historic meeting with President Castro from Cuba.
Monday
- The President met with eight members of the National 4-H community.
Tuesday
- The President met with Iraqi Prime Minister al-Abadi.
- The White House was transformed into a concert hall, as legendary artists paid tribute to gospel music.
Wednesday
- The President met with Presidents of Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone.
- The President traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina for a town hall with BlogHer and SheKnows about working families.
Thursday
- The President marked the 8th Annual Wounded Warrior Project’s Soldier Ride.
- The President convened “Champions of Change” with advocates who are leading the charge for policies important to working families.
