What's Happening

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will designate the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands as part of the California Coastal National Monument in a signing ceremony in the Oval Office. There will be a pool spray of the signing.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to New York City. The departure from the South Lawn and arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport are open press.

While in New York, the President will attend two events, one for the DNC and another for the DSCC. The DNC event is closed press, and the DSCC event will be print pool coverage for remarks only.

At night, the President will depart New York City en route Washington, DC. The departure from John F. Kennedy International Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will travel to Miami, Florida to visit Coral Reef High School. The President and the First Lady’s departure from the South Lawn and arrival at Homestead Air Reserve Base are open press.

While at Coral Reef High School, the President and the First Lady will visit a classroom and the President will deliver remarks. The President will discuss how a quality education has never been more important to economic success in this country.  If they work hard, students should have the opportunity to get a quality education that will prepare them to compete and win in a 21^st century global economy. There will be travel pool coverage of the President and First Lady’s classroom visit, while the President’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will remain in Key Largo, Florida for the weekend. 

In the morning, the President will travel to the Hartford, Connecticut area. The departure from the South Lawn and arrival at Bradley Air National Guard Base are open press.

In Connecticut, the President will deliver remarks at Central Connecticut State University on raising the minimum wage. The President will be joined by Governors from the states of Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts and Rhode Island to discuss the importance of raising the minimum wage and giving hardworking Americans the raise they deserve. The President’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.

Following this event, the President will depart the Hartford area en route Boston, Massachusetts. The departure from Bradley Air National Guard Base and the arrival at Boston Logan International Airport are open press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will attend a DNC event. Following this, the President will deliver remarks and answer questions at a DNC dinner. The first event is closed press and the dinner is open to the print pool for remarks only.

In the evening, the President will depart Boston en route Washington, D.C. The departure from Boston Logan International Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will travel to Powell Elementary School to tour a classroom and deliver remarks on the FY 2015 budget and our plan to expand opportunity for all. There will be travel pool coverage of the President’s tour and remarks.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of Defense Hagel in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the evening, the President will participate in an event for the DSCC at a private residence. There will be print pool coverage for the President’s remarks only.
