The Schedule

In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President and the First Lady will deliver remarks and the President will sign into law the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 at Harriet Tubman Elementary School in Washington, DC. This event is pooled for TV and open to correspondents.

Later, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will welcome the Los Angeles Lakers to Washington, D.C. to honor their 2009-2010 season and their second consecutive NBA championship. At the event, Lakers coaches and staff will participate in a service project at a Washington D.C. Boys and Girls Club with local D.C.-area youth. There will be pool coverage of the President’s visit with Boys and Girls Club kids. The President’s remarks are open press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with UN Ambassadors in the Cabinet Room. The President and the Vice President will then meet with Secretary Gates in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at the Diplomatic Corps Holiday Reception at the State Department. There will be pooled press coverage of the President’s remarks.
