Preventing and Eliminating Elder Abuse

The Elder Justice Act will help prevent and eliminate elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

A competitive grant program will award grants to innovative entities who carry out activities to protect individuals seeking care in facilities that provide long-term services.  The Act will also require owners, operators, and employees of long-term care facilities to report suspected crimes committed at a facility.
