Today, the President will meet with Treasury Secretary Geithner in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with Democratic leaders to discuss their legislative agenda for the coming months and his proposals to provide small businesses new incentives to grow and hire, encourage companies to create jobs here at home, and ensure that middle class families don’t see a massive tax hike at the end of the year. Attendees include Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin, House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, Senator Chuck Schumer, Senator Patty Murray, Congressman Jim Clyburn, Congressman Steve Israel, and Congressman Chris Van Hollen. This meeting in the Oval Office is closed press.

Today the Vice President will be in Park City, Utah, where he will meet with senior advisors.

Later, the Vice President will travel to Houston, Texas, where he will remain overnight.

Later in the afternoon, as part of “Live from the White House,” the President will participate in interviews with local TV anchors from the following markets across the country, New Orleans, Louisiana, Manchester, New Hampshire, Louisville, Kentucky, Miami, Florida, Raleigh, North Carolina, Davenport, Iowa, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Las Vegas, Nevada.
