While in Texas, as part of his “Middle Class Jobs & Opportunity Tours”, the President will travel to Manor New Tech High School near Austin, Texas where students are learning the real-world skills they need to fill the jobs that are available right now. While at Manor New Technology High School, the President will tour classrooms and then deliver remarks. At 6:45 PM, the Vice President will deliver keynote remarks at the 25^th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner of the Congressional Fire Services Institute. This event at the Washington Hilton is open press.

Later in the morning, the President will welcome President Park Geun-hye of the Republic of Korea to the White House.  As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the U.S.-ROK alliance this year, President Park’s visit will highlight the growth, breadth, depth and strength of our alliance, our increased global cooperation, the deep economic ties between the United States and the Republic of Korea, and the strong bonds of friendship between the American and Korean people. There will be a pool spray at the top of the bilateral meeting in the Oval Office. The Vice President will also attend.

At 8:30 AM, the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will host their annual Cinco de Mayo breakfast at the Naval Observatory.

At 10:30 AM, the Vice President and Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver remarks at the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) Memorial Plaque Ceremony at the State Department to honor the dedication of colleagues in the foreign service. This event is open press.
