In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later, the President will visit a small business in Bladensburg, MD to tour the facilities and comment on the monthly jobs numbers. There will be travel pool coverage of the tour and the President’s remarks.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will sign the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010 into law and deliver brief remarks on the impact of this law on people with disabilities.  This event in the East Room is open press.

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

Later, the President and the Vice President will have lunch in the Private Dining Room. This lunch is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will award Staff Sergeant Robert J. Miller, U.S. Army, the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry.  Staff Sergeant Miller will receive the Medal of Honor posthumously for his heroic actions in Afghanistan on January 25, 2008.  He displayed immeasurable courage and uncommon valor - eventually sacrificing his own life to save the lives of his teammates and 15 Afghanistan National Army soldiers. Staff Sergeant Miller’s parents, Phil and Maureen Miller will join the President at the White House to commemorate their son’s selfless service and sacrifice. The Vice President and the First Lady will also attend. This event in the East Room is open press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will travel to Newark, New Jersey.  The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Newark Liberty International Airport are open press.  Later, the President will attend a DNC dinner at a private residence in Cresskill, New Jersey. In the afternoon, the President will host a meeting of the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board (PERAB) in the State Dining Room to discuss a range of economic issues.  Dr. Jill Biden will also attend.
