In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will participate in a conference call with state and local officials to discuss the Administration’s domestic preparedness response to the Ebola epidemic in West Africa. This call is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will travel to the Pentagon to meet with Military Senior Leadership. There will be a travel pool spray at the bottom of this meeting. Afterward, the President will hold a meeting with his national security team to receive an update on the campaign to combat ISIL. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will return to Washington, DC. The departure from Gary Chicago International Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s 37^th Annual Awards Gala. The President’s remarks at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center are open to pre-credentialed media.

Later in the morning, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. The two leaders will discuss a range of issues of mutual interest in order to expand and deepen the U.S.-India strategic partnership. They will discuss ways to accelerate economic growth, bolster security cooperation, and collaborate in activities that bring long-term benefits to both countries and the world. They will also focus on regional issues, including current developments in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, where India and the United States can work together with partners toward a positive outcome. The President looks forward to working with the Prime Minister to fulfill the promise of the U.S.-India strategic partnership for the benefit of both our citizens and the world.
