Following these meetings, the President will meet with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The President will discuss the Administration’s effort to urge the House to take action and pass commonsense immigration reform. The Vice President will also attend. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will award the 2012 National Medal of Arts and National Humanities Medal in a ceremony in the East Room. The First Lady will also attend. On Monday morning the President and First Family will depart Cape Town, South Africa and travel to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, where they will be greeted by President Jakaya Kikwete and First Lady Salma Kikwete.  The departure from Cape Town, South Africa and arrival in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, will be open press.

The President and First Lady will then visit the State House of the United Republic of Tanzania for an official arrival ceremony hosted by President Jakaya Kikwete and First Lady Salma Kikwete.  There will be expanded pool coverage of the ceremony.

After the official arrival ceremony, the President will hold a restricted bilateral meeting followed by an expanded bilateral meeting with President Jakaya Kikwete of the United Republic of Tanzania at the State House. The restricted bilateral meeting is closed press and there will be a travel pool spray at the top of the expanded bilateral meeting.

In the evening, the President will hold a joint press conference with President Kikwete at the State House. The joint press conference will be open press.

Following the joint press conference, the President will join President Kikwete for a tree planting ceremony outside the State House.  There will be expanded pool coverage of the ceremony.
